The Photo Studio Photographer will produce photography assets for both Crate and Barrel and CB2 brands and partner with key stakeholders, while collaborating with the Creative team to develop original concepts of photography.

What you'll do...

  • Collaborate with Art Directors and Producers on creative concepts for eCommerce as well as Corporate photography assignments.
  • Maintain daily shot count in support of studio schedule.
  • Direct Photo Assistants and Stylists, such as proper set configuration and lighting, product grouping propping and soft goods styling.
  • Assist Associate Director of Photography in training new photographers and assistants.
  • Capture the functionality, features, benefits, and uniqueness of product line.
  • Ensure a high level of consistent technical quality and aesthetics for all photography created and distributed by the studio.
  • Execute photography across various business channels, as needed.
  • Support all efforts and initiatives across all business channels implemented by the company.

What you'll bring...

  • Must provide a link to portfolio (including password) on resume or provide PDF samples
  • 3+ years photography studio experience
  • 1+ years of digital product photography experience
  • A complete understanding of Capture One Pro 9 Photoshop and Premier a must
  • Demonstrate expert photography capabilities for various merchandise categories including hard goods, soft goods and large scale furniture
  • Excellent communication skills, an active listener and able to convey complex issues succinctly and with the correct priority
  • Utilize product knowledge and art direction instructions to ensure merchandise is accurately photographed
  • Willingness to take constructive critiques and work toward consensu
  • Strong research skills ability to acclimate in new product categories and technologies
