Photo Studio Producer

Location: Chicago, Illinois

The Photo Studio Producer is accountable for the organization and management of photo shoots, from creative handoff to post production. They will act as the central point of contact for all participating teams and are responsible for designing revised budgets to plan, execute shoots, as well as coordinating the talent, staff, location, and equipment.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Photo Studio in Chicago, Illinois

A day in the life as a Photo Studio Producer…

  • Accountable for tracking and managing each photo shoot budget
  • Responsible for management of photo shoot staff
  • In collaboration with Senior Producer, establish and execute on photo shoot timelines and schedules
  • Act as the liaison between internal and external photo shoot teams.
  • Cultivate pool of national and international talent
  • Establish, research, and implement best in class operating standards
  • Secure necessary insurance, permits and security needs for location shoots
  • Provide access to the photography studio for staff; open and close studio, as needed
  • Coordinate and facilitate the organization of photo shoot teams to manage the shoot, and execute the translation of creative direction for the shoot

What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Photography industry production knowledge
  • Ability to direct the execution of creative concepts with fiscal and creative accountability
  • Knowledge of local Chicago vendors, industry contacts, including caterers, photography equipment providers, truck companies, art movers, prop houses
  • Strong organizational / multi-tasking skills to manage input from cross functional teams
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal/negotiation skills

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • 3 years experience of photography production and studio operations
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of eCommerce/Marketing photography industry standards and processes
  • Experience with negotiation and management of crew
