Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: 1250 Techny Road, Northbrook, IL 60062
Duties: Affect business change through the creation and development of analytics and data insight capabilities. Perform high complexity ad-hoc dashboard and report modeling that meets existing and emerging reporting and analytical needs. Analyze, interpret and summarize data findings for financial, operations and strategic aspects of the business. Build and maintain reports, models, dashboards, and metrics that provide a precise view of the business performance. Collect, aggregate and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to drive insights in business performance. Run SQL queries and provide reports or updates via visualization tools such as Microstrategy or Tableau. Monitor historical and real-time performances of key metrics to detect and report anomalies. Develop and modify reports, verify information integrity and design business intelligence dashboards, scorecards, charts/graphs, drill-downs, and dynamic reports to meet new information needs. Use data analytics to effectively deliver findings to stakeholders and create pipelines and queries in our data warehouse to analyze large sets of internal data. Perform customer sentiment analysis using natural language processing to analyze textual data provided through Clarabridge. Lead competitor analysis leveraging regression on variables such as Promotion Type, Length of Promotion, and Impact to Sales to generate insights on impact to company promotions. Develop market entry strategies based on evaluation of macroeconomic factors, competitive analysis, customer interactions touchpoints and product relevance. Leverage data to understand the products and processes in depth, identify areas of opportunity, and support projects to drive growth, engagement and process improvement.
Education + Experience Requirements: Master’s degree in analytics, economics, or engineering and 2 years of experience in data and business analysis

Special Skills: Must have work experience with each of the following: 1.) performing customer sentiment analysis using natural language processing to analyze textual data provided through Clarabridge; 2.) developing international market entry strategies based on evaluation of macroeconomic factors, competitive analysis, customer interaction touchpoints, and product relevance for the housewares, furniture, and home accessories industry; and 3.) leading competitor analysis leveraging regression on variables such as Promotion Type, Length of Promotion, and Impact to Sales to generate insights on impact to company promotions.
