Crate & Kids Content Manager

The Crate & Kids Content Manager will create brand-building concepts, copy and campaigns for the Crate and Barrel’s growing Kids brand. A skilled writer with a clear creative voice and deep knowledge of modern marketing channels, the content manager is a creative ideator and a researcher, a big-picture thinker and detail-oriented doer, and takes a customer-first approach to all aspects of their work.

What you'll do...

  • Lead seasonal campaign development and content in partnership with creative design and marketing.
  • Brainstorm an endless amount of ideas for copy and editorial on site and catalog, on-trend social posts, relevant emails and in-store signage experiences.
    • Ideate and write copy for marketing channels such as:
    • Catalog
    • Website
    • Press Lookbook
    • Social Media
  • Collaborate with expert channel writers on:
    • Signage
    • Packaging
    • Email
    • Digital display ads
  • Partner with creative design, marketing strategy, eComm, copy editing, media and PR to develop creative work from idea to flawless execution.
  • Develop proactive content ideas and innovative creative solutions that address brand and business goals
    Bring style, culture and trend inspiration to the team.
  • Present concepts to project stakeholders and marketing/creative leadership with clarity and conviction. 

What you'll bring...

  • 6+ years professional content experience in brand, advertising, retail, or editorial
  • Experience with home, kids or lifestyle brands preferred
  • BA in English, Journalism, or Creative Writing preferred
  • A robust portfolio that demonstrates smart copywriting and innovative brand ideas across multiple marketing channels
  • A hybrid creative writer and smart marketer
  • A way with words that is conversational, playful and natural
  • An open and curious mind
  • A team player who enjoys collaborating for the greater good
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating engaging marketing content
  • Passion for kids design, parenting, entertaining, fashion, trends and culture
