Developer (Digital Services)

As a developer on our ESB team you will build, deploy and evolve integrations within an enterprise-wide ESB infrastructure that scales and serves 100s of thousands of requests per second, linking various parts of our business to each other and with our third-party partners. You will collaborate closely with product managers, testers and other developers to design, test, code, deliver and support software via an architecture built in the Software AG Webmethods ecosystem. Our integrations support the online shopping experience and the movement of products and services throughout Crate and Barrel and CB2. This position requires experience in synchronous and asynchronous integrations between systems and other emerging API strategies in a highly collaborative, exciting, and fast paced atmosphere that requires great communication skills.

What You'll Do...

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable flow services and APIs using Software AG WebMethods, Java, JSON/XML and other data formats, etc.
  • Implement industry best practices for security, versioning strategy, etc.
  • Develop detailed design, technical design; functional program design; and technical program design, as needed.
  • Perform software applications programming, unit tests, string tests and write user documentation.
  • Prepare and plan test environments, execute system tests, and assist with execution of user acceptance tests.
  • Perform capacity and performance testing of integrations.
  • Create and/or modify documentation for programs, process flow, test scripts or other software application needs, in collaboration with the larger team
Required Skills

What You'll Bring..

  • 3+ years of experience in Software and systems development role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integrations between systems (RESTful APIs, Event-based, etc.) and systems that provide those (SAG Webmethods, Kafka, etc.)
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming experience (Java or Ruby or C#).
  • Experience and understanding of various databases (SQL, NoSQL).
  • Experience in scripting using bash/Shell/Python/Powershell.
  • Experience in test driven design and domain driven design.
  • Experience in version control tools such as TFS, Git, Bitbucket.
  • Experience in working in Agile methodologies (scrum or kanban).
  • Experience in Continuous Integration/Delivery technologies and tools set (Jenkins, webMethods Deployer, Bamboo, Concourse, Travis).
  • Passion for using industry standard best practices for developing integrations between systems
  • Great collaborator and communicator with teammates and business partners
  • Ability to communicate technical direction cross-team architecture impacts across the organization
  • Experience in Cloud based PaaS and IaaS offerings such as AWS, GCP, and Azure. AWS experience is a plus.
