HR Specialist, Associate Care

Location: Northbrook, Illinois

The HR Specialist, Associate Care delivers exceptional customer service while supporting Associates with HR issues and questions. This position guides, responds to, and resolves general HR questions and conducts research of issues as appropriate to provide resolution in a timely manner. The role works closely with key partners across the HR team to optimize efficiency, ensure consistency, and enhance the associate experience - all while supporting the company’s purpose, values, and core beliefs.

What you'll do...

  • Respond to a high volume of inbound calls/tickets in a fast paced environment, while delivering quality service and creating a positive associate experience
  • Communicate policies and processes, and provides information in response to associate inquiries
  • Apply critical thinking skills and active listening skills to effectively diagnose callers’ needs and to determine key details to escalate and document in the case management tool
  • Utilize multiple systems to research, troubleshoot and provide issue resolution or escalate to the appropriate partner
  • Process employee data transactions and performs a variety of operational tasks
  • Identify trends and areas for potential improvement and focus; suggests solutions and ideas for improvement
  • Partner with the Sr. Manager to create standardized work processes for basic HR functions

What you'll bring...

  • 2+ years of HR or related experience
  • Customer service and/or contact center experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Experience researching, analyzing and problem solving in a fast paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or HR-related discipline preferred
  • Case management experience preferred 
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Workday and Jira preferred
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to be flexible and exercise a sense of urgency and prioritization
  • Experience, ability, and comfort to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to exceptional customer service and follow through 
  • Demonstrated history of working on multiple projects in a demanding environment 
  • Proven ability to work both independently as well as in a team; strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and trust and maintain confidentiality
