Intern, eCommerce Brand Marketing and Merchandising

So we can continue to help others love how they live in moments that matter, the iconic brand is looking for a driven and passionate professional to raise the bar and join our eCommerce department as an Intern, eCommerce Brand Marketing and Merchandising located in our Northbrook, IL corporate office.

This role supports the eCommerce Digital Merchandising team and is responsible for day to day execution of content, online merchandising, and promotional messaging. This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain experience in eCommerce and marketing.

  • Position is for immediate hire and up to 6 months in duration. This is NOT a summer internship. 
  • Execute merchandising/shipping promotions, marketing content and brand initiatives using web CMS, in house tools, as well as outside tools to support site, app and additional channels as needed.
  • Execute content across site and run quality control processes to ensure flawless execution.
  • Build sku data in multiple retailer proprietary systems including sku set up and maintenance of sku content including product families, marketing copy, marketing bullets, regulatory information, product images, videos and other assets.
  • Create relationships between products to best showcase assortment and encourage cross-sells.
  • Update seasonal/specialty content areas of the site.
  • Responsible for analyzing and testing all content and content links to ensure that information is accurate, accessible, and user-friendly across internet browsers as well as mobile devices.
  • Contribute to strategy and development of creative executions of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Maintain internal promotions calendar and cards in internal workflow system.
  • Partner with design team to create assets to support execution needs.
  • Participate in team creative brainstorms and process optimizations.
  • Ensure marketing assets are always up to date.
  • Help with product merchandising on eCommerce site and other miscellaneous marketing tasks as required.
  • Promote strong sense of teamwork by working together effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all associates.
  • Provide and support excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication.

Required Skills
  • Position is for immediate hire and up to 6 months in duration. This is NOT a summer internship. 
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS helpful, but not required.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • The ideal candidate will be able to efficiently meet deadlines, be detail oriented, able to self organize and strong communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, process oriented, fast learner, self starter
  • Tech Savvy
  • You can communicate to people in product management, design, user experience, and QA, and they will understand you
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and able to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Ability to collaborate and work on a busy and dynamic team.
  • Desire to learn and implement principles of E-commerce and marketing.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a natural problem solver
  • Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
