Lead Developer, Order Management

Duties: Responsible for guiding a team of developers to understand software product requirements, and developing the architecture and specifications for systems to support them. This role will represent and guide our development team setting the pace, path, and standard for all software programming activities and must be able to work with both custom and package software. Primary responsibilities include: Participate with business partners in the definition of their requirements; Develop team work plan working with manager and business input and priorities; Determine staff assignments; Develop detail design to align with the business requirements, including function and process specifications; Assist with technical design, unit test plan, functional program design, and technical program design; Oversee development using RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE (IBM i), and development documentation and review including Requirements Understanding Document (RUD), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), Software Design Description (SDD), Interface Design Description (IDD), System Architecture Description (SAD), and Unit test Protocol (UTP); Work with the team and business colleagues, define KPI’s, data integrity measurements, and data integrity assurance process; Oversee development and maintenance of retail customer order processing, including POS and web/direct orders, allocation of inventory for customer orders, purchase order concepts, and billing customer orders/refunds (including credit cards and Paypal); Utilization of third party packages such as SAP Address Verification and Sovos Taxware; Ability to interface packages such as Sovus and SAP AVS to legacy host systems including the I-Series. Ability to work partially remote, office location is in Northbrook, IL.
