Security Analyst

The Security Analyst maintains system’s access controls to protect data from unauthorized users.  Collaborates with departments to obtain and implement user security requirements, including role-level security and identifies, reports, and resolves security violations.

What you'll do...

  • Administer, assess and remediate the company’s Identity Access Management program.
  • Reviews requests for access and authorizes appropriate levels of security based on user needs, guidelines and policy.
  • Design and maintain security items such as user roles, permission lists, query and report access, component interfaces, and batch process groups.
  • Establish security policies and procedures to protect computer systems, networks and data from unauthorized access, modification or destruction.
  • Oversee the security patch management program: servers, desktops, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and promote consistent controls and processes to ensure Technology risk management, security, privacy, and compliance are priorities.
  • Monitor and protect digital files, networks and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction.
  • Perform daily health checks as documented by the Technology Security team.
  • Prepares reports that document security breaches and the extent of the damage caused by the breaches.
  • Provide support and help to computer users when they need to install or learn about new security products and procedures.
  • Assists in the preparation and presentation of training materials and communications to educate user groups.
  • Provide on-call support for after-hours security-related issues as needed.

What you'll bring...

  • BS degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or Engineering Management Information Systems
  • A minimum of 3 years of Network, or Information Security related experience
  • Preferred experience and knowledge of security control audit processes and procedures
  • Technical security experience extending across multi-applications/platforms: i.e Security
  • Information and Event Management (SIEM); Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP); Azure Active Directory (administration, SSO); Google G-Suite for Business, identity management/provisioning, Endpoint (Microsoft, Linux, Mac OS X), Firewall Management, Segmentation controls (network, application)
  • Strong knowledge of information security concepts and security trends and practices
    DLP, AV and anti-malware – an understanding of the tools used to protect the organization
  • Proven track record in identifying problems and working quickly to address
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across an organization to achieve common goals and positive results
  • Proven track record in working collaboratively with the business to achieve common goals and positive business results
  • Ability to operate in a self-directed manner with strong project management, time management, analytical and technical problem-solving skills
  • Stong written and verbal communication skills
