Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant has significant responsibilities in the monthly and annual general ledger close process and maintains various reconciliations and reports. This role works directly with various functional areas of the company and has a direct impact in maintaining the financial integrity of an exciting, growing organization.

What You'll Do...

  • Perform general accounting functions supporting the monthly and annual general ledger close process
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team to close each period timely and accurately
  • Conduct various account reconciliations and implement process changes to reduce reconciling items and errors
  • Prepare various schedules for audits, tax, or to fulfill other reporting requirements
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly expenses and provide financial reports to various departments or divisions
  • Support annual financial audit, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed by the Controller and Chief Financial Officer
  • Research and recommend accounting treatment based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Provide operational analyses subsequent to the completion of monthly close and focus on promoting sales or controlling expenses as they pertain to, or are driven by your position and the functional areas you support

What You'll Bring...

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA a plus
  • 3+ years previous accounting experience; public accounting experience a plus
  • PeopleSoft or Hyperion experience a plus
  • Able to work independently
  • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
  • Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports
  • Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must
  • Detail-oriented, able to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to demonstrate data interpretation
  • Strong written and verbal communication (English)
