Senior Developer, ESB

As a Senior Developer on our ESB team you will build, deploy and evolve integrations within an enterprise-wide ESB infrastructure that scales and serves 100s of thousands of requests per second, linking various parts of our business to each other and with our third-party partners. You will collaborate closely with product managers, testers and other developers to design, test, code, deliver and support software via an architecture built in the Software AG Webmethods ecosystem. Our integrations support the online shopping experience and the movement of products and services throughout Crate and Barrel and CB2.
This position is fully Remote.
A day in the life as a Senior Developer…
- Designing, developing and maintaining scalable flow services and APIs using Software AG WebMethods, Java, JSON/XML and other data formats, etc.
- Performing software applications programming, unit tests, string tests and writing user documentation
- Preparing and planning test environments, executing system tests, and assisting with execution of user acceptance tests
- Performing capacity and performance testing of integrations
- Creating and modifying documentation for programs, process flow, test scripts or other software application needs, in collaboration with the larger team
What you’ll bring to the table…
- 5+ years of experience in Software and systems development role
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience
- Experience with synchronous and asynchronous integrations between systems (RESTful APIs, Event-based, etc.) and systems that provide those (SAG Webmethods, Kafka, etc.)
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming experience (Java or Ruby or C#)
- Experience and understanding of various databases (SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience in scripting using bash/Shell/Python/Powershell
- Experience in version control tools such as TFS, Git, Bitbucket
- Experience in working in Agile methodologies (scrum or kanban)
- Experience in Continuous Integration/Delivery technologies and tools set (Jenkins, webMethods Deployer, Bamboo, Concourse, Travis)
