Operations Associate

A day in the life as an Operations Associate...
- Receive, unload, and process truck deliveries safely and efficiently using pallet lifts and other approved equipment.
- Lift, move, organize, and stage merchandise throughout the stockroom and sales floor, handling heavy freight throughout the shift.
- Accurately sort, ticket, and process incoming merchandise to ensure inventory is received and available for replenishment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom that supports efficient truck processing and inventory management.
- Replenish merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor to ensure products are stocked and available for customers.
- Assist with inventory preparation, cycle counts, stock checks, and other inventory control processes to maintain accuracy.
- Follow all safety procedures and operational standards when lifting, moving, and storing merchandise.
- Support the processing of customer fulfillment orders, including Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS), Ship from Store, and curbside pickup, as needed.
- Work collaboratively with the store leadership and operations team to complete truck processing goals and daily operational priorities.
- Maintain awareness of loss prevention and security procedures while handling merchandise.
- Provide friendly customer service and assist customers on the sales floor as needed while prioritizing operational responsibilities.
- Support visual merchandising standards by replenishing merchandise and ensuring displays remain full and presentation-ready.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced, physically demanding role.
What you'll bring to the table...
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers and other associates
- General office equipment, including computer and printer, Point of Sale (POS) system, AS400 system, company email system, company learning management system, telephone/intercom system, copier, fax machine, SKU and tagger guns, tape machine, small hand tools, ladders, step stools, hand truck/dolly, baler, calculator, electronic two-way radio with earpiece
- Good reading and written language skills (English), strong communication skills, basic arithmetic, interpersonal skills, telephone presence, data entry skills
- Ability to work in a flexible environment, shift quickly as our business evolves, and focus on continuous learning
- Engage in, maintain and support store safety standards and training
- Demonstrate creative problem solving to maintain a solutions-oriented and teamwork focus
