Sales Associate, Crate & Barrel Kids

Asa Sales Associate focusing in driving our Crate&Barrel Kids assortment, you will create a welcoming and engaging shopping experience for families while helping customers find products that meet their children’s needs, style, comfort, and space requirements, in addition to helping Kitchen and entertaining business. You will use your product knowledge and customer service skills to build relationships, drive sales, and support an organized and visually appealing store environment.
- Welcome and engage customers in a warm, friendly, and helpful manner, creating a positive experience for parents, children, and families.
- Drive sales through active customer engagement, suggestive selling, and knowledgeable recommendations based on customers’ needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of kids’ products and home essentials.
- Answer customer questions, provide product demonstrations, process payments, and involve management when additional assistance or approval is needed.
- Communicate current promotions, special offers, loyalty programs, financing options, and other company initiatives to customers.
- Maintain excellent company standards in sales, customer service, visual merchandising, product presentation, and teamwork.
- Create an engaging experience by participating in or leading creative activities, demonstrations, and product presentations that appeal to children and families.
- Support store management by leading by example and helping maintain strong standards for sales performance, profitability, customer service, and operational excellence.
- Ensure merchandise and displays are properly stocked, organized, clean, and readily available for customers to purchase.
- Maintain attractive and engaging room displays that help customers visualize how products can be used together in a child’s bedroom or play space.
- Follow all store safety standards and participate in required safety training, with particular attention to creating a safe environment for children and families.
- Maintain awareness of loss prevention, security, and safety procedures and follow all guidelines provided by management and Human Resources.
- Assist customers with locating merchandise, checking product availability, and coordinating orders or pickups when needed.
- Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards throughout the sales floor to create an inviting, inspiring, and family-friendly shopping environment.
- Work collaboratively with fellow associates and management to provide exceptional customer service and contribute to an enjoyable shopping experience for both parents and children.
What you'll bring to the table...
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers and other associates.
- General office equipment, including computer and printer, Point of Sale (POS) system, AS400 system, company email system, company learning management system, telephone/intercom system, copier, fax machine, SKU and tagger guns, tape machine, small hand tools, ladders, step stools, hand truck/dolly, baler, calculator, electronic two-way radio with earpiece.
- Ability to work in a flexible environment, shift quickly as our business evolves, and focus on continuous learning.
- Engage in, maintain and support store safety standards and training.
- Demonstrate creative problem-solving to maintain a solutions-oriented and teamwork focus.

Starting Rate: $16.00 - $20.00
Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
