Associate Manager, Vendor Compliance

Location: Northbrook, Illinois

The Associate Manager of Vendor Compliance is responsible for leading all aspects of the CBH vendor compliance program. This role acts as the key liaison between various cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution of the tactical activities necessary for effective vendor oversight. Additionally, the position oversees all vendor performance data and reporting related to the Trading Partner Management (TPM) program.

This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

A day in the life as an Associate Manager, Vendor Compliance...

  • Lead all updates of our Vendor Operations Guide (VOG) by managing content updates from stakeholders, format and distribution.

  • Manage all vendor and agent mass communications

  • Analyze chargeback reporting to identify vendor issues and improve vendor compliance.

  • Build organized compliance partnerships with teams across the organization including: supply chain, transportation, sourcing, merchandising, planning, and BI team.

  • Provide training and support to the vendor / agent communities in the following areas: Vendor Operations Guide, TPM Systems, labeling requirements, On-time shipping policy, and Chargebacks 

  • Analyze and publish vendor performance metrics and insights monthly to ensure success against the Key Performance Indicators.

  • Build new and enhance existing reports and tools designed to provide operational and financial insight; Identify areas of opportunity for process improvement and executing initiatives designed to improve vendor performance and ensure vendor compliance.

  • Direct and respond to Vendor/Agent inquiries related to vendor operations; serve as stakeholder on special projects around vendor compliance.

  • Provide timely and accurate dispute resolution that identify core issues to resolve them and prevent them from happening in the future.

  • Partner with Vendor Ops team to design and deliver the process for onboarding new agent representation to Crate policies, operating guidelines, and order management and compliance systems.

  • Develop termination procedures for agent representation as it relates to updating internal systems and coordinating with agent and associated stakeholders to align on PO and commission implications.


What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Possess an understanding of various training and communication resources.

  • Understands PO Management activities, Vendor portals and is familiar with AS400.

  • Effective email communication with overseas vendors and agents.

  • Working knowledge of company systems and processes, such as InforNexus, MicroStrategy, AS400, and Peoplesoft.

  • Subject Matter Expert in Vendor Portals.

  • Ability to train agents and vendors on vendor portals and new technology.

  • Promote and maintain a “client services” approach by providing a high level of support and follow-through to our buying teams, agents, and vendors.

  • Detail-oriented, punctual, focused and efficient.

  • Ability to lead and effectively manage a project/cross-functional team to drive results and meet deadlines.


We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 5+ years of work experience

  • Background in analytics and building performance scorecards; previous experience communicating with overseas vendor communities

  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Google platform (Sheets, Documents, Slides), Business Intelligence and AS400 systems

  • Strong arithmetic, interpersonal, telephone presence, data entry skills


Starting Rate: $68,000.00 - $90,000.00

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
