Associate Planner, Store Planning

This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL offices with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
The Associate Planner, Store Planning, analyzes store and market profitability as it relates to omni-channel inventory. This role is key to supporting the goal of optimizing inventory by considering capacity and defining localized assortments based on location and market trends. This role is accountable for meeting service-level, turn, and margin KPIs for the store channel.
A day in the life as an Associate Planner, Store Planning…
- Develop store sales, inventory plans, and new merchandise strategies in collaboration with planning, store, and finance teams to create annual budgeting by Store and Dept
- Align store assortment with merchandising strategy
- Analyze store inventory and sales trends to support recommendations to optimize the breadth and depth of inventory, both pre-season and in-season, driving reductions in store inventory levels while maximizing revenue
- Recommend and maintain seasonal store attributes that support store tiers for assortment or inventory levels
- Create Display targeting by store tier to optimize turn by location
- Review and approve store footprint with Planning, Merchandising, Visual, and Store teams to maximize sales per square foot to optimize store capacity
- Support Store inventory-centric projects, new store openings, closings, and relocations
- Provide and summarize actionable weekly and monthly reporting of sales & inventory performance for the store channel and by location
- Collaborate with the allocation team by providing analysis and direction to impact inventory deployment decisions

We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- A minimum of 2 years in merchandising, planning/allocation, buying, or equivalent experience
- Experience with inventory management, IT systems, product pipeline process design, and promotional strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
