Entry Project Architect

Location: Northbrook, Illinois

This Entry Project Architect will assist Senior Project Architects or Project Architects during the concept design, design development, design coordination and construction administration phases of the built environment for any company brand store location.

This position is a 4 day hybrid position based out of our Headquarters located in the Northbrook, Illinois office.

What you'll do…

  • Produce a building information model from AutoCAD files and/or sketches and coordinate a cohesive Revit file according to department standards for each store project
  • Assist a senior project architect or project architect during development of the site and building design for each store project, in collaboration with the director of architecture
  • Produce high quality renderings and presentation materials associated with the concept development and design documentation processes
  • Assist the director of architecture or architecture department manager with special department or company projects, as needed
  • Attend project meetings during all phases of a store project, at the discretion of a project architect
  • Attend and participate in weekly Architecture Department staff meetings
  • Promote a strong sense of teamwork by working together effectively, respectfully and efficiently with all company associates and external colleagues

What you'll bring to the table…

  • Working knowledge of applicable business software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Google Business Applications (Gmail, Drive, Slides)
  • Proficiency with industry specific software, including: Autodesk Revit Architecture, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk 3dS Max, and SketchUp
  • Working knowledge of applicable design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Bluebeam ReVu

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • MUST provide Portfolio link on resume or PDF of sample work
  • Pre-professional Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Architecture or Interior Architecture
  • 1 year of related work experience, inclusive of part-time, in-office interships and co-op work
  • High-quality and flexible building design and space planning skills, and ability to sketch and clearly present design ideas
  • Basic comprehension of construction documents and ability to document construction principles
  • Basic knowledge of engineering systems and applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with basic arithmetic and mathematical concepts
  • Familiarity with both PC/Windows and Apple O/S
