Marketing Manager, Baby Registry

Location: Northbrook, Illinois

The Marketing Manager, Baby Registry is responsible for leading the development, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns for this crucial growth area. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of how to drive business through complex omni-channel marketing, with a focus on both new customer acquisition and retention strategies for this key audience.

This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

A day in the life as a Marketing Manager, Baby Registry…

  • Strategic Program Ownership: Strategic and operational ownership of the Baby Registry program (acquisition, engagement, completion, sales). Champions program KPIs and lead cross-functional teams through marketing campaigns and other key initiatives
  • Baby Registry Growth: Focus on developing aggressive acquisition strategies specifically aimed at driving Baby Registry creates and increasing list value through targeted marketing campaigns
  • Lifestage Marketing Strategy: Leads collaboration with the lifecycle and paid marketing teams on comprehensive strategies for our “ages and stages” segments, fueling Baby Registry acquisition to cultivate long-term retention
  • Vendor-Funded Marketing: Manages all aspects of vendor-funded marketing programs specifically aligned with Baby Registry and targeted audiences. Maintains strong relationships with 3rd-party brands to grow the program and coordinates with cross-functional channel owners to execute on these campaigns
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Leads collaboration between teams across Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, and Digital/Ecom for all registry-related initiatives and integrated vendor programs. Works with Finance team on planning and accruals for relevant marketing budgets and tracks progress against program plans
  • Performance Analysis & Optimization: Analyzes performance metrics for the Baby Registry program against organizational strategies and drives actionable insights for continuous improvement. Utilizes data, both internal (program results) and external (market trends), to identify areas of improvement for the Baby Registry program in order to grow its market share
  • Partnerships & Outreach: Identifies and cultivates strategic partnerships both internally and externally as relevant to grow the baby registry audience

What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Firm understanding and experience in marketing vehicles such as email, paid media, and social
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth through effective, cohesive omni-channel campaigns and initiatives.
  • Experience as a business owner or program lead in a highly-visible role.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills at both macro and micro levels
  • Highly collaborative and flexible team player
  • Resourceful problem solver with a drive for continual improvement

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • 5 years experience with Marketing, Retail Industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience writing and delivering content briefs
  • Solid project management expertise and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously


Minimum Starting Rate: $68,000.00 Annually

Up to: $90,000.00 Annually

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
