Senior Architect

You'll be instrumental in driving architectural vision, strategy, platform creation, and best practices within our ecommerce domain, collaborating with development teams to ensure the creation of robust and scalable solutions. A day in the life of a Senior Architect...

  • Contributes to the development and implementation of architectural vision, strategy, standards, policies, and best practices within a domain, business area, or platform, providing guidance and expertise to ensure alignment with organizational goals

  • Provides technical leadership and design guidance to development teams, assisting them in making architectural design decisions, and ensuring adherence to established standards and best practices

  • Helps create proof-of-concepts for new systems / designs and works with teams integrating novel solutions into their domains

  • Collaborates with other architects and teams to ensure alignment of architectural solutions within a domain, business area, or platform, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting knowledge sharing

  • Designs and documents architectural solutions that meet business and technical requirements, including creating detailed diagrams, specifications, and other artifacts

  • Participates in architectural design discussions and decisions, representing their program’s or team's architectural needs, and advocating for solutions that align with the overall architectural vision

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in architecture, agile software engineering, and knowledge management, across the organization

  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical debt, ensuring the long-term health and sustainability of our systems

  • Ensure that architectural designs meet non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability

  • Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including design specifications, diagrams, and technical standards

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Knowledge of architectural governance processes, frameworks, and best practices

  • Expertise in various software development methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps

  • Strong understanding of cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles

  • Ability to design and document comprehensive solution architectures

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages

  • Understanding of the business domain and its technical implications

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly 

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in software engineering or other area of technical expertise

  • 5+ years of experience working in the Ecommerce space

  • 3 years of architecture experience

Starting Rate: $125,000.00 - $160,000.00

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
