Senior Engineering Manager – e-Commerce Fulfillment & Warehouse Systems

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering delivery for our eCommerce Fulfillment Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). This role will own the end-to-end technical strategy and team execution for a high-volume distribution center, supporting order fulfillment, automation flows, and systems integration. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with modern WMS platforms (preferably Blue Yonder), cloud/SaaS migrations, and has a track record of scaling warehouse or supply chain technologies in partnership with product and operations teams.

A day in the life as a Senior Manager, Software Engineering...

  • Lead the engineering team supporting WMS and fulfillment systems for a large-scale eCommerce distribution center

  • Manage technical delivery for warehouse processes including receiving, picking, packing, replenishment, and shipping

  • Drive integration and orchestration of 3rd-party systems (e.g., WES, Autostore (ASRS), cartonization, rate shopping, sorters)

  • Partner with Product and Operations teams to shape evolving roadmap, define priorities, and ensure execution readiness

  • Support and implement enhancements for fulfillment logic (e.g., replenishment, carrier onboarding, order flow optimizations)

  • Provide architectural oversight for scalable, resilient, and observable systems

  • Build and manage a growing team of engineers; develop technical talent and ensure knowledge sharing

  • Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to roll out cloud-native tools and API-first services

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Strong leadership and organizational management skills, with experience managing managers or multiple complex teams

  • Deep understanding of software development processes, agile methodologies, and modern engineering practices at scale

  • Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and execution skills

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to guide architectural decisions and resolve complex technical challenges

  • Experience with resource planning, budget management, and strategic hiring

  • Understanding of cloud technologies, scalable architectures, and DevOps principles

  • Strong business awareness and ability to translate business needs into technical strategies

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • 88+ years of experience in software engineering with 3+ years in a leadership role

  • Experience with Blue Yonder WMS (preferably SaaS/cloud or Cognitive versions)

  • Background in supply chain systems, warehouse execution, or logistics technology

  • Strong understanding of system integration (REST APIs, events, platform patterns)

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across Product, Operations, and QA


Starting Rate: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
