Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst will maximize company profitability through budgeting, forecasting, expense management, reporting, analysis, and financial modeling across all brands and shared service departments. They will provide an independent, objective assessment of consolidated financial and operational performance and share ideas for improved profitability and best practices. They will develop points-of-view for decision-making purposes derived from insights based on data and fact-based research.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Northbrook, IL Corporate Headquarter. This role will work on-site weekly from Monday through Thursday, with the ability to work remotely on Fridays.
This role is an Individual Contributor position.
A day in the life as a Senior Financial Analyst…
- Assisting in preparing the annual budget, three-year plan, and monthly forecasts for the consolidated company, including Crate and Barrel, CB2, and Hudson Grace brands
- Acting as the point of contact for various functional areas on financial matters including budgeting and ad hoc financial analysis
- Supporting key strategic efforts and initiatives across business channels
- Assisting in elevating the financial literacy of the company through the communication of financial performance, variance analysis, and financial goals
- Collaborating with the Financial Accounting team to review and understand actual performance against budgeted performance to determine trends to be incorporated into future forecasts and the planning process
- Maintaining and continuously improving current financial planning and reporting systems
What you’ll bring to the table…
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to build and translate integrated financial models
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to process large sets of financial and other data (KPIs) from various systems to derive insights for decision-making
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google platform (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.), Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Peoplesoft General Ledger; Microstrategy, Tableau, SQL all a plus
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline
- 2+ years of previous work experience in a financial planning/ analysis
- Experience with Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Peoplesoft General Ledger, Microstrategy, Tableau, SQL
