Cross Dock Home Delivery Coordinator

- This is an on-site position based out of our Portland, OR Home Delivery Center
A day in the life as a Cross Dock Home Delivery Customer Service Coordinator...
- Maximize company growth and profitability by overseeing all aspects of Crate and Barrel operations in a third-party run cross-dock to ensure the highest level of service to area stores and customers
- Coordinate meetings and communication between the cross-dock, stores, drivers, and the Distribution Center to maintain the highest level of service
- Study reporting data that measures delivery effectiveness and implement process changes as necessary
- Be familiar with routing and dispatching functions at service centers in order to expedite all deliveries
- Be responsible for driver procedure compliance to our delivery training program, doing ride-a-longs and/or ride behind to observe delivery teams
- Work with stores to review product displayed to ensure that product delivered represents current stock, as well as understand inherent characteristics
- Promote a culture of respect and an atmosphere of teamwork in order to foster a positive working environment
- Interact with the stores and regional warehouse, to provide accurate order processing and service levels for the distribution of merchandise
- Act as a liaison between stores and service providers to be responsive to customer needs and requests
- Develop and maintain a relationship with stores and customer service managers, and participate in store CS meetings, following up with notes
- Develop an understanding of the culture and operations of service providers
- Observe delivery operations and inspect all product prior to delivery or pick-up
- Provide periodic audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Review and publish reports for invoicing, auditing, claims/chargebacks, and metrics reporting.
- Follow the loss prevention and security guidelines to minimize inventory shrinkage and profit loss
- Abide by the established dependability guidelines to maintain business productivity
What you’ll bring to the table…
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent required; Higher education in related field a plus
- Proven proficiency in English language skills required
- Word, Excel, Outlook required
- Basic math required

- Ability to move and/or lift up to 65 pounds; Heavier merchandise with team assistance
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
