Brand Content Specialist

A day in the life as a Brand Content Specialist...
- Collaborate with the marketing team and cross-functional partners to maintain message map calendars, campaign calendars, editorial plans, and promotional calendars and manage the always-on social presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
- Coordinate information for marketing and creative in collaboration with key partners across marketing, merchandising, planning, marketing operations, and creative teams to ensure the marketing briefs are updated with merch and marketing strategies, SKU lists, promo codes, inclusions, and exclusions.
- Write and edit all website copy and ecommerce product copy and manage the approval process, quickly switching back and forth between selling copy and editorial/storytelling copy
- Collaborate with Product Merchandise teams to learn about new and continuing products each season and write compelling, effective copy with a keen understanding of SEO best practices
- Regularly collaborate on updating the proofreading/editing process to maintain accuracy and efficiency
- Own all content and planning for the "Inspiration" content section with an understanding of SEO best practices.
- Update and maintain style guide for catalog copy, website copy, digital ads, and all other digital creative
- Track and coordinate content delivery dates for campaigns helping to ensure marketing execution teams have assets with enough time to execute.
- Manage influencer partnerships, including product ordering, scope writing, asset coordination, research, and product gifting plans.
- Conduct weekly social listening reports, user-generated content (UGC) analysis, and audience insights. Share findings with the social media team to optimize social presence and enable more culturally relevant content creation.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop paid and organic social content, including videos
- Moderate and approve user-generated content (UGC) for social media channels and eCommerce.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute tactical plans and provide content to support marketing services, including but not limited to Design Services, BOPS, Corporate Gifting, and Registry
- Stay current with social media trends and incorporate them, as appropriate, to improve the customer experience, drive sales, and leverage ongoing customer involvement.
- Collaborate with omnichannel partners across store, catalog, social, and digital to provide creative support as needed
- Contribute to reporting, competitive research, consumer research, invoicing, and data for organic social and content
- Support PR and stores team in planning and executing events, including new store openings, book signings, and other events.
- Partner with customer service to ensure all social media inquiries are handled in a timely and appropriate fashion
- Sustain effective relationships with key business partners (internal business units, external parties, outside vendors)

- Apply required discretion for confidential or sensitive information.
- The ability to adjust communication styles and leverage candor to enhance communication, teamwork, and collaboration efforts across individuals, teams, and brands.
- Ability to consistently and effectively re-prioritize work based on shifting business needs and stakeholder expectations while working under pressure and on deadline
- Strong time management skills with the ability to flex dependencies in deadline-driven environments.
- Has an “own-it” attitude - KPI-oriented and willing to take on accountability
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- 3 years experience working for a brand in social media and/or public relations
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and social media management and activation tools like Sprout Social, Curalate, Crimson Hexagon, etc.
- Experience measuring marketing performance and synthesizing insights in reports
- Experience with Photoshop and social media content creation apps preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, merchandising, advertising or journalism focus preferred or equivalent work experience
- Retail Experience Preferred
