Facilities and Maintenance Manger

Location: Wilmer, Texas

This role will lead site-level technical maintenance  and facilities teams within our  furniture Distribution Center and final-mile home delivery network.. This role will oversee capital and repair planning projects,  partnering with site operations, engineering, and external vendors to minimize downtime and maximize throughput of the facility. 

  • This is an on-site position based out of our Wilmer, TX Distribution Center

  • This role is a People leader position 


A day in the life as a Manager, Facilities & Maintenance...  

  • Establish training programs, certifications, onboarding, and performance metrics for the on-site maintenance team

  • Oversee site maintenance and reliability program for forklifts and other MHE 

  • Build preventative maintenance (PM) programs, work order processes, lifecycle tracking, and KPI dashboards and site adoption of selected CMMS programs, 

  • Ensure OSHA compliance, site-safety programs, contractor oversight, and regulatory inspections

  • Manage service contracts for HVAC, fire/life safety, roofing, and specialty vendors

  • Maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems, lead escalation for site outages, and coordinate cross-functional incident response

What you’ll bring to the table…  

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with conveyors, sortation equipment, palletizers, forklifts and heavy MHE

  • Experience with CMMS and building preventative maintenance programs

  • Familiarity with PLCs/HMI programming, troubleshooting

  • Financial acumen with experience owning OPEX and CAPEX budgets

  • Flexible schedule to oversee and respond to the needs of Building Operation and Emergency situations 


We’d love to hear from you if you have…  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of progressive maintenance/facilities experience in distribution, furniture or material handling environments, with at least 5 years in a hands-on technician role
