Senior Manager, Facilities Maintenance.

Location: Wilmer, Texas

As the Senior Manager, Facilities Maintenance you will be accountable for all aspects of facility maintenance including maintenance of physical building, building security, repair, MHE Repair & Maintenance and communication with corporate facilities team and outside vendors across all 6 US Crate and Barrel distribution centers. This role will also provide oversight to all cross dock (home Delivery Centers) facilities and is responsible for performance management and development of their direct reports.

This is a hybrid position that can sit at any of our Distribution Centers (Wilmer, TX | Cranbury, NJ | Tracy, CA | Newton, NC | Romeoville, IL | Naperville, IL) and requires 50% travel to our network of Distribution Centers and Home Delivery Centers.

A day in the life as a Senior Manager, Facilities Maintenance…

  • Provide Strategic leadership and support to the distribution network consisting of 6 distribution centers and a network of Home Delivery Centers. 
  • Develop and implement innovative programs, processes and procedures that reduce costs and drive efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement sustainability initiatives that drive down carbon emissions and reduce waste throughout the network.
  • Establish and maintain productive and professional relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure prompt, thorough and reliable and fiscally responsible service.
  • Oversee Network Facility P&L and lead cost reduction initiatives.
  • Collaborate with operational partners, including transportation, to address facility related issues and support operational objectives.
  • Manage, assign, monitor and/or perform all maintenance, troubleshooting and housekeeping duties to ensure the health and safety of the facility remains uninterrupted for business operations at a high level of customer service.
  • Oversee repairs and solutions for electrical and mechanical systems for all material handling equipment and facility buildings including preventive maintenance in order to maintain efficiency and safety of operations.
  • Partner with the leadership team to manage all aspects of performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.
  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance equipment training and maintenance for the campus in order to ensure consistency and excellence of training and adherence to OSHA standards

What you’ll bring to the table…  

  • Excellent reading, oral and written language skills in English language, bilingual preferred
  • Ability to interpret and guide team using blueprints and schematic drawings
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and sustain results in a timely manner 
  • Team-player with exhibited ability to work independently and collaboratively with flexibility to move between projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements, including GHS (Global Harmonized System for Hazardous Waste)
  • Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and requirements (e.g. documentation, reporting, state and federal regulations, etc)
