CGI Producer

The CGI Producer plans, organizes, and manages computer-generated imagery for eCommerce, supporting seasonal product launches. This role oversees the entire process from merchandising definition to post-production, acting as the central contact for all teams. Key responsibilities include budgeting, coordinating merchandise information, and partnering with Art Directors to ensure the creative vision is executed on schedule.
This is an on-site position based out of our Chicago, IL Photo Studio
A day in the life as a CGI Producer…
- Manage and be accountable for all CG visualization project development, planning and execution from beginning to end of product asset launches of new and existing products
- Partner with Creative (Photo Studio), internal and external 3D artists to determine the most cost-effective methods to provide product imagery
- Accountable for tracking and managing the CGI imagery budget and individual projects, determining various costs per SKU using Crate photography vs. Vendor-supplied images vs. CGI
- Lead project teams across multiple departments by proactively managing timelines, quality, and risks while encouraging the team(s) to collaborate on problem solving and solutions
- Manage all communications regarding project status and timelines with Merchandising and key cross functional departments including Photo Studio, Production Graphics, eCommerce and Merchandising
- Solicit feedback from various cross functional partners in order to deliver the best product
- Encourage teamwork, collaboration and positive interactions within the team and with all company associates
- Embrace and introduce current and new technology and process that support the business
- Create and own CG work orders, managing input from key players, Help vet new vendors and determine appropriate vendors for specific projects
- Primary contact for external vendors for overall project needs, deadlines, etc.
- Help determine various costs per sku using Crate photography vs vendor-supplied images vs CGI
- Promote agile approach to product testing by minimizing cost & time to add new products to assortment
- Manage functional QA of 3D model and final image assets
What you’ll bring to the table…
- CGI industry image production knowledge
- Excellent project management and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to research and coordinate information efficiently
- Strong interpersonal/negotiation, collaboration and organizational skills to manage input from cross functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to direct the execution of creative concepts with fiscal and creative accountability
- Close attention to detail
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- 3+ years experience with Industry knowledge of CGI production practices
- 3+ years relevant eCommerce Merchandising experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated use of Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive)
- Knowledge of eCommerce/Marketing photography industry standards and processes
- Past experience with negotiation and management of 3D vendors
