Studio Associate, Special Projects

The Studio Associate, Special Projects is responsible for fulfilling the needs of their assigned project, whether this be tied to scenic art, set building, merchandise management, or other studio specific project needs. This role will be assigned to a specific team and leader and will spend the majority of their time working on projects for the assigned department. This role is unique as it is scheduled based on the business or project needs and can work up to 999 hours per calendar year.

A day in the life as a Studio Associate, Special Projects...

  • Complete assigned projects, within the designated time frame.
  • Clean, maintain, and organize work area to ensure a safe work environment at all times
  • Projects may require the following skills:
  • Assist with assembly and disassembly of scenes for photography, as appliable
  • Painting, basic carpentry, basic electrical duties, as appliable
  • Perform merchandise handling, assembly, tracking and packing, including all job preparation and posting as required
  • Safely load and unload trucks and drive them to locations, if applicable to assigned project(s)
  • Spraying or hand painting set pieces based on knowledge and time restraints if applicable to assigned project(s)
  • Organizing and maintaining paint archives, tools, material resources, and general use areas for photoshoot preparation, if applicable to assigned project(s)

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Expectation of flexible work hours, scheduled based upon business or project needs, up to 999 hours per calendar year.
  • Ability to occasionally work 12+ hour days
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and customer service skills
  • The ability to work within a team or independently
  • Demonstrate creative problem solving to maintain a solutions-oriented and teamwork focus.
  • Carpentry, painting, fabrication, and design skills, dependent on assigned project
  • Occasional travel, if applicable to project needs

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • 1+ years of Photo Studio/Creative experience preferred
  • Fine art, scenic painting, woodworking, or logistics experience is preferred based on project specialty.
  • Practical operational experience with general hand and power tools used in carpentry and light construction, if applicable
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive Class 4 trucks, if applicable


Starting Rate: $18.03 - $21.63

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
