Senior Digital Designer, Design Services

Location: Remote

The Sr. Digital Designer  will be responsible for working directly with customers to create customized Residential and Commercial interior design plans  with all Crate and Barrel, CB2 and Crate Kids, to support omnichannel design services.

  • This position is fully remote


A day in the life as a Senior Digital Designer, Design Services…

  • Create brand forward designs, including moodboards, 2D floor plans, photorealistic 3D room models and 3D renderings and ability to translate customer needs and wants
  • Provide One on One Design consultations through interactions via email, phone, chat, and virtual design consults
  • Coach Digital Designers on brand forward designs, review designs to ensure they meet QC and Brand standards.  Provide constructive criticism and direction as needed
  • Work with store teams to support 3D design work
  • Manage design projects on a daily basis (updating CRM tracker with project status, communicating daily with internal/external on the design journey)
  • Meet  service level  KPIs, such as productivity metrics and  SLA for design projects
  • Develop and maintain effective, collaborative relationships with peers and other company personnel
  • Partner with leadership to onboard and knowledge share when orienting new design service associates, as a subject matter expert
  • Support leadership with Auxiliary projects as needed

What you’ll bring to the table… 

  • Design aesthetic inline with that of Crate and Barrel, including sense of color and pattern play; Ability to stay up to date on current design trend
  • Strong affinity for technology and proficient in floor planning software (CAD, Sketchup, Revit, 3D max, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • Complete understanding of necessary design functions including spatial planning, color theory and selection, fabric selection, lighting, interior design styles and history
  • Ability to work independently, self directed learner, multi-task and manage multiple projects
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Proficiency with Mac computers, google platform and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Interior Design or a related field 
  • 2+ Years of experience in Interior Design or store visuals
  • Retail/customer service experience
