A day in the life of a Director, Architecture...
Contributes to the definition and maintenance of the enterprise architecture strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and overall company architecture
Supports and evolves architectural standards, policies, and best practices within specific domains, promoting consistency and efficiency
Provides technical leadership and design guidance for strategic programs and platforms, collaborating with other architects to ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles
Facilitates architectural design discussions and decisions within their area of expertise, driving consensus among stakeholders to achieve optimal solutions
Leads, mentors, and grows a team of architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and innovation
Partners with product management and engineering teams to translate business needs into actionable architectural initiatives and oversees their successful execution
Evaluates and recommends new technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns to enhance capabilities and operational efficiency
Builds strong relationships and influences across various levels of the organization to gain buy-in for architectural strategies
Identifies and helps manage architectural risks, technical debt, and interdependencies within their domain, contributing to mitigation strategies
Stays informed on emerging architectural trends and industry best practices, integrating relevant insights into architectural designs
What you'll bring to the table...
Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team of architects, including setting goals, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative work environment
Strong ability to provide technical leadership and guidance in defining and implementing architectural standards and designs within specific domains
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing architectural strategies that align with business objectives
Comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and their potential impact on the enterprise
Proficiency in various software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps, and the ability to apply them to project needs
Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles, with the ability to design secure and scalable architectures
Ability to architect and document complex solutions that integrate diverse systems and technologies
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and the ability to guide development teams in technology selection
Deep understanding of the enterprise's business strategy and operations, with the ability to align architecture with business goals
Exceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts
We'd love to hear from you if you have...
12+ years of experience in software engineering or equivalent technical field, with a track record of leading significant initiatives
7+ years of architecture experience, with experience in a leadership role
5+ years in management roles overseeing engineering or architecture teams
Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Starting Rate: $175,000.00 - $219,000.00
Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
