Director, Business Sales Operations

The Director of Business Sales Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for Crate & Barrel’s Business Sales division. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle from product development and customization to corporate gifting and order fulfillment. This role ensures operational excellence through process design, systems integration, and collaboration with various teams. Key responsibilities include technology enablement, reporting, and forecasting to support growth. The Director builds a high-performing team and is a vital member of the Business Sales leadership, reporting to the General Manager, Business to Business.

A day in the life as a Director of Business Sales Operations…

  • Own and manage the B2B product roadmap, including development, personalization, and custom product opportunities across multiple client verticals
  • Partner with merchandising, sourcing, design, and planning teams to create and deliver commercial-grade, client-specific product solutions
  • Oversee end-to-end client order fulfillment operations, from order placement through delivery and installation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and an exceptional client experience
  • Build, document, and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process maps that enable scalable and repeatable B2B execution
  • Partner with IT and eCommerce to develop B2B technology solutions, including client portals, self-service platforms, and sales enablement tools
  • Lead systems integration across CRM, ERP, inventory, and fulfillment platforms to enhance visibility and client experience
  • Manage and expand corporate gifting programs, ensuring seamless ordering, personalization, and marketing alignment
  • Establish and monitor operational KPIs, reporting, and forecasting to drive data-based decision making and business growth
  • Serve as the primary liaison between B2B Sales and cross-functional partners, enabling collaboration and execution on large, complex projects
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team to support product development, project management, and operational enablement

What you’ll bring to the table…

  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; ability to influence across merchandising, sourcing, logistics, technology, and marketing
  • Deep knowledge of commercial product standards (e.g., contract-grade testing, compliance, and durability)
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and execution skills; able to both set direction and drive tactical delivery
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple large-scale, high-profile client initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders and clients at all levels
  • Strong data orientation, with the ability to develop reporting frameworks, analyze performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of corporate gifting, customization, or personalization programs strongly preferred

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, merchandising, operations, or business sales enablement, including proven leadership in cross-functional settings
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience managing B2B product and service delivery operations, ideally in a retail, hospitality, or related commercial industry
  • Proven track record scaling business operations, including SOP development, process optimization, and technology enablement
  • Experience building or managing corporate gifting or custom product programs is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, and fulfillment platforms


Minimum Starting Rate: $160,000.00 Annually

Up to: $200,000.00 Annually

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
