Manager, IE Labor Management Systems

Responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of our labor management systems across multiple distribution centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Industrial Engineering principles, including PMTS/ELS (Predetermined Motion Time Systems/Engineered Labor Standards) and time study-based labor management. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive change, manage an IE, and collaborate effectively with operations and IT teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a new labor management system, ensuring its successful integration with existing WMS platforms (Manhattan, JDA and/or Blue Yonder), and maintaining the system in a steady state to drive continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and cost savings.

A Day in the life as a Manager, IE Labor Management Systems...

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new labor management system (LMS) across multiple distribution centers

  • Develop and execute project plans, timelines, and budgets for LMS deployments

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, finance, and human resources, to ensure successful system integration and user adoption

  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineered labor standards (ELS) using PMTS/MOST/MTM methodologies and time studies

  • Validate and audit existing standards to ensure accuracy and fairness

  • Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making within the team

  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to senior leadership

  • Work closely with IT teams to ensure seamless integration between the LMS and existing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), specifically Manhattan, JDA and/or Blue Yonder

  • Possess a strong understanding of WMS functionalities and data flows to optimize system performance and data exchange

  • Maintain the LMS in a steady state post-implementation, ensuring system integrity and data accuracy

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues in collaboration with IT and vendor support

  • Utilize data from the LMS to identify performance trends, bottlenecks, and areas for optimization

  • Prepare and present regular performance reports and business cases to management

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy aligned with business objectives

  • Lead and participate in process improvement projects, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other relevant tools

  • Identify, analyze, and implement process enhancements to eliminate waste and improve productivity

  • Develop and implement performance metrics to measure improvement initiatives and track progress

What you'll bring to the table...

  • Labor Management (MTM or MOST preferred)

  • Lean Six Sigma methodologies

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Coaching, development and training skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Distribution Operation knowledge

  • Ability to travel up to 75% 

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in Industrial Engineering, with a focus on labor management and engineered standards

  • Proven experience in implementing PMTS/ELS (e.g., MOST, MTM, MODAPTS) and time-study methodologies

  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role, managing at least one Industrial Engineer.

  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading large-scale projects

  • In-depth knowledge of Manhattan and/or JDA WMS and LMS platforms

  • Certification in a recognized PMTS methodology. - Preferred


Starting Rate: $101,900.00 - $135,000.00

Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
